At 11:18 pm Snowy enter the stage and welcomes the audience in French: Bonsoir ! The audience was infected by his enthusiasm.
he said … Ah! beaucoup des bonne ici ce soir !
OK ! Bonsoir !
I'm afraid that they play maybe just a few tracks tonight because it's a festival and another band performs after the Snowy White Blues Project.
Then the band opens with ' Blue To The Bone', 'Good Morning Blues' and 'Simple'. Snowy is larking and Ruud is not long in coming and contracts the high spirits from Snowy.
Snowy said: Bonsoir encore!, before he announces the 'Red Wine Blues'.
In 'Red Wine Blues' is one of my personal favorite guitar solo, VERY addictive. A really incredible guitar solo also tonight, I already can't breathe anymore and the solo is still well underway. Really, a masterpiece and he can still play sweetly.
After that, follows 'I Ain't No Doctor'. Finally, the drumming is superb. Then
'Hot For The Money' and in 'Long Grey Mare' I don't see much, because the floodlights blind me.
At the moment as Matt plays his absolutely amazing gutar solo in 'In Our Time Of Living'. It appears to me that Snowy encounters a problem as he waves somebody nearer. A very profound lyrics carries the track throughout, Though I do not understand the text, but I can fancy it, it sounds like this. Matt Taylor giving an incredible performance and right at the end he said: Merci ! Also Ruud said: Merci beaucoup !
The next song is 'Land Of Plenty' is another very memorable old track. Beginning with Roy on percussion.
I think they cut not figured out Snowys problem, as he waves again somebody nearer, and then two already are busy with Snowys VOX, right now.
I particulary don't care for the lyrics, it's the music that is great, again with incredible slide guitar by Snowy.
'Rolling With My Baby' so energetic and so motivating; which really helps me to cheer up my day. This song makes my pulse is racing rapidly and my adrenalin is exploding. I like the riffs, the guitar solo, the dynamic drum work as well as solid bass lines and the vocals.
'I Loved Another Woman' - Snowy was absolutely engrossed in his solo. Played one, two, three minutes so, is so intense and so musical. It is dark and warm and welcoming. It achieves perfect balance between the technical and emotional. It does not have a weak moment. Snowy did not come back to the present for three and a half minutes, until somebody was calling out: C'est bon ça!
'I’m So Glad' I'm glad - I'm glad - I'm glad !
Now, it's time for the acoustic part. All switched over to their acoustic instruments, all but Snowy. It's a pity that the band's last show was messed up by the crap equipment....
Matt carry an the audience to sing in 'Walk On' and he charms the audience with his acoustic sounds. One and all sing aloud and clap out the rhythm. This is, in every sense, a perfect song.
Woman Across The River ...
In the song 'I Want To Thank You' ... Snowy loves his French fans really very much and found some French words for to give thanks to them. Merci pour nous écouter !, he said.
I can't find words for the song 'One Way Ticket'. Really really awesome!!!! Very cool guys! Fantastic!
A highlight of the show was when the band departed and Snowy sang and played the song 'World Keep On Turning' alone on on his guitar. He's sweet and puts his heart and soul into every performance. The technical wizardry here is tremendous.
Then one additional song after the encore of Snowy.
Ruud said: Don't ferget we pre-sell the CD of that side of the stage after the show, so five minutes after the show, we'll be there for our new CD !
The band rejoined Snowy White for a triumphant version of "I Can't Get Enough Of The Blues',
Ruud Weber was clear winners with the crowd. especially, when he invite the audience for to sing, it’s cool how that happens, his enthusiastic fans laughed, too and continued to sing along.
Thanks for a great show.
Along my way back to my car I am plain happy. My favourite band played a full 90 minutes show and I think that with the warm summer air, the relaxed crowd and the casual vibe on stage, concert-goers could almost imagine they have one's head in the clouds, instead of an organized show in downtown Réalmont. But that’s the magic of Snowy White – his boyish grin, euphonic tunes and easy way with an audience and a guitar turns any environment into something special.
Ups! I really forgott to buy the Live- Album - So Let's go back !
Of course I'll buying a copy of this new live album? So 2 minutes later I shopped 2 CD's 'In Our Time ... Live', and they are signed by Snowy White himself, by Ruud Weber, Matt Taylor and Roy Martins! Wow ! What a sight ! |
